Season's Greetings

Installation in the art cube at Odenplan metro station in Stockholm, December 2016 - March 2017.

Focusing on the backside of consumerism, "Season's Greetings" responded to the extreme consumption that follow Christmas holiday every year. The exhibition was a counterpoint to all the advertisement on the subway station's walls, a reminder of what is taking place parallel to our shopping hysteria and stress. The pile of things and trash that we leave behind us when we make room for new items in our lives.

For three months, the art cube at Odenplan was transformed into an aquarium. Through the glass walls, the viewer could see a cross section of the different season's various layers of objects, compressed into an artificial decay.

”Fuck all that stuff I have already, I want other stuff.”

Special thanks to refo and Åsas Leksaks- och klädförmedling that helped me realizing my idea by collecting clothes and items before the exhibition.
